show moreStudent Debt Cancellation - the application form is out. 22 million people have applied. Hear from SDCC leaders and our special guest, Abby Shafroth, about how to apply for debt cancellation, what recent updates mean for borrowers, and how to get involved.
The Student Debt Crisis Center (SDCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that centers the needs and voices of borrowers, and partners with allies, to impact public policy and end the student debt crisis.
Today's SDCC guest hosts are President and Founder, Natalia Abrams, Executive Director, Cody Hounanian, and Director of Outreach, Sabrina Calazans.
Their special guest is Abby Shafroth, a Staff Attorney at the National Consumer Law Center where she focuses on student loan and for-profit school issues, and on the intersection of criminal and consumer law. She has represented the interests of students and legal assistance organizations on federal and state policy committees, and is the co-author of two reports in the Confronting Criminal Justice Debt series: "The Urgent Need for Reform" and "A Guide for Litigation."
The SDCC website is StudentDebtCrisis.org and their handle on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook is @DebtCrisisOrg.
