Salmos 14:1‭-‬7 RVA2015:
Dijo el necio en su corazón: “No hay Dios”. Se han corrompido; han hecho cosas abominables. No hay quien haga el bien. El SEÑOR miró desde los cielos sobre los hijos del hombre para ver si había algún sensato que buscara a Dios. Pero todos se habían desviado; a una se habían corrompido. No había quien hiciera el bien; no había ni siquiera uno. ¿Acaso todos los que obran iniquidad no saben que comen a mi pueblo como si fuera pan, y que al SEÑOR no invocan? Allí temblarán de espanto porque Dios está con la generación de los justos. Del consejo del pobre se han mofado pero el SEÑOR es su refugio. ¡Quién hiciera que de Sion viniese la salvación de Israel! Cuando el SEÑOR restaure de la cautividad a su pueblo se gozará Jacob; se alegrará Israel.


En el primer capítulo de Proverbios leemos que el principio de la sabiduría es el conocer a Dios y caminar con Él, practicando Su Palabra.
De forma similar podríamos decir que en este salmo aprendemos que el principio de la necedad es cuando el ser humano dice: "no existe Dios".
Curiosamente más adelante vamos a leer el salmo 53 que parece una copia de este el salmo 14, escrito casi al pie de la letra con algunas pocas variaciones.
Estos dos salmos hacen mención de la forma tan descarada del necio que niega la existencia de Dios. Cada persona tiene el derecho de decidir si cree o no en Dios, y respetamos las convicciones de cada persona. El problema es cuando una persona toma la decisión de negar a Dios y no aceptar que existe un Creador, a la misma vez está negando que existe un Juez que hace pagar a cada uno conforme a sus acciones, sean buenas o malas. Y también niega que existe un Dios que ha dejado Su Palabra a nosotros, Su creación, los seres humanos, para regirnos bajo estatutos, principios y códigos morales, y así poder convivir en una sociedad justa, sin hacerle mal a nadie.
Este es el efecto de un corazón incrédulo y antiteísta que se levanta para ir en contra de todo lo relacionado a Dios: el crimen no deja de aterrorizar las comunidades, familias se derrumban, niños son abandonados por su padre o madre, las estafas en todos los niveles económicos y estratos sociales son la noticia de todos los días. Además, las nuevas generaciones de jóvenes y adolescentes crecen viviendo vidas desenfrenadas, sin bases morales, contagiándose de enfermedades venéreas, o matándose entre ellos en las pandillas, atados por adicciones, metidos en un hueco profundo de depresión porque no saben ni siquiera por qué y para qué viven y existen.

Podría quedarme aquí escribiendo infinidad de ejemplos de los efectos y consecuencias de una persona que decide sacar a Dios de su vida y no seguir Sus sabios consejos ni caminar de la mano con Él, sintiendo Su presencia cuando venimos ante Él en oración. Porque cuando alguien experimenta por primera vez la presencia de Dios, escucha Su Palabra y comienza a vivir bajo los códigos divinos de vida que Dios nos ha dejado por medio de Su Palabra, esa persona puede controlar esa tendencia que tenemos a hacer lo malo, minimiza esa intención maliciosa de dañar al prójimo al punto que lo único que siente es amor y compasión hacia el prójimo. Cuando una persona dice: "sí hay Dios", su corazón de piedra es transformado a uno sensible y se convierte en una persona prudente, inteligente y sabia. Su corazón se sensibiliza ante la necesidad humana y se convierte en un instrumento de bien para restaurar y reconstruir familias. Se convierten en ejemplos de bondad para la nueva generación de jóvenes para que se conviertan en luz en medio de las tinieblas, para que, en vez de hacerle daño al prójimo, invoquen el nombre del Señor y se aparten del mal.

El rey David se desesperaba al ver tanta maldad que lo rodeaba, pero él siempre se mantuvo con un corazón limpio y temeroso de Dios que es el principio de la sabiduría. Por eso David fue un gran rey en medio de sus debilidades, defectos y errores, al punto que siempre que caía, él se levantaba, aprendía del error y se convertía en una mejor persona para el bien de su comunidad y su pueblo. Era tanta su devoción de su fe en Dios que la Biblia lo llama "un hombre conforme al corazón de Dios".

Nunca permitas que la incredulidad entre en el corazón de tu familia por medio de los problemas o las circunstancias difíciles que estés viviendo. Inculca en tu hogar esa fe en el Dios Todopoderoso, y ten paciencia para que cada uno de los miembros de tu hogar desarrolle esa relación directa con Dios para que no se convierta en una simple creencia religiosa tradicional, sino en una fe genuina.

Considera:
¿Has escuchado a alguien con voz arrogante negar la existencia de Dios?
¿Convives con personas que continuamente discuten contigo en cuanto a tu fe? ¿Son buenas o malas influencias en tu relación con Dios?
¿Has tenido que cortar alguna amistad que estaba perturbando tu paz, tu felicidad y el gozo que disfrutas estando en el Señor?

September 29: The beginning of foolishness.

Psalms 14:1-7:
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.
The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, no, not one.
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the Lord? There they are in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous. You shame the counsel of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge.
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord brings back the captivity of His people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.


In the first chapter of Proverbs we read that the principle of wisdom is knowing God and walking with Him, practicing His Word.
In a similar way we could say that in this psalm we learn that the principle of foolishness is when the human being says: "there is no God."
Interestingly later we are going to read Psalm 53 which looks like a copy of Psalm 14, written almost verbatim with some slight variations.
These two psalms make mention of the brazen manner of the fool that denies the existence of God. Each person has the right to decide whether or not to believe in God, and we respect each person's convictions. The problem is when a person makes the decision to deny God and not accept that there is a Creator, at the same time he is denying that there is a Judge who makes each one pay according to their actions, be they good or bad. And also denies that there is a God who has left His Word to us, His creation, human beings, in order to rule us under statutes, principles and moral codes, and thus be able to live in a just society, without hurting anyone.
This is the effect of an unbeliever and anti theistic heart that rises up to go against everything related to God: crime does not stop terrorizing communities, families collapse, children are abandoned by their father or mother, scams in all economic levels and social strata are the news every day. In addition, the new generations of young people and adolescents grow up living unbridled lives, without moral bases, catching venereal diseases, or killing each other in gangs, tied up by addictions, stuck in a deep hole of depression because they don't even know why and what they live and exist for.

I could stay here writing countless examples of the effects and consequences of a person who decides to remove God from his life and not follow His wise advice or walk hand in hand with Him, feeling His presence when we come before Him in prayer. Because when someone experiences the presence of God for the first time, hears His Word and begins to live under the divine codes of life that God has left us through His Word, that person can control that tendency that we have to do evil, minimize that malicious intention to harm others to the point that all he feels is love and compassion for others. When a person says: "yes, there is God", his heart of stone is transformed into a sensitive one and he becomes a prudent, intelligent and wise person. His heart is sensitized to human need and becomes an instrument of good to restore and rebuild families. They become examples of goodness for the new generation of young people so that they become light in the midst of darkness, so that, instead of hurting others, they call on the name of the Lord and turn away from evil.

King David despaired when he saw so much evil that surrounded him, but he always remained with a clean heart and fearing God who is the beginning of wisdom. That is why David was a great king in the midst of his weaknesses, defects and mistakes, to the point that whenever he fell, he got up, learned from the mistake and became a better person for the good of his community and his people. His devotion to his faith in God was so great that the Bible calls him "a man after God's own heart."

Never allow unbelief to enter the heart of your family through problems or difficult circumstances that you are experiencing. Instill in your home that faith in Almighty God, and have patience so that each of the members of your household develops that direct relationship with God so that it does not become a simple traditional religious belief, but a genuine faith.

Consider this:
Have you ever heard someone with an arrogant voice deny the existence of God?
Do you live with people who continually argue with you about your faith? Are they good or bad influences on your relationship with God?
Have you had to cut a friendship that was disturbing your peace, your happiness and the joy you enjoy being in the Lord?
