They immediately made contact with Felix at the front entrance, and they subsequently apprehended the 2 males as they attempted to leave the store with unpaid items. The alleged shoplifters were identified as 47-year-old Michael Fortune and 51-year-old Antonio Kelly.
Both men were handcuffed and placed under arrest. The loss prevention officer was able to generate a receipt for the officers showing that the total value of the items they attempted to steal was about $292. They were transported in separate vehicles to the Hoboken Police Department for further processing. At the police station, they were searched in more detail by the officers.
