Isaiah 30:1, Woe to the rebellious children saith the Lord, that take counsel but not of me; and that cover with a covering but not by my spirit, that they may add sin to sin. Woe is a serious affliction or misfortune or grief or distress resulting from a serious affliction or misfortune; it is also a warning that danger is imminent. 1.
