In 1916 a repatriation scheme was devised to enable thousands of returning soldiers to take up land across Australia, getting them out of the cities into honest, steady work in the fresh air.

Catch a glimpse into the lives of returned soldiers, Arthur Belling and David Crosby, who both received blocks of land in the Tarcutta District as part of the Soldier Settlers scheme.
