In the era of “Somebody’s _____”, we wanna switch it up. “Somebody’s Mom” will explore the question of whether or not a single mom can raise a man. We have a quite a few thoughts and will share commentary from our listeners.

Joining us tonight is Author Sheila Sewell. Shelia Sewell is a native of Natchez, MS. She is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and Concordia University. Shelia is the author of the award winning novel, Love, Lies, & Loyalty, the first book in her Rico’s Girls’ Philosophies series. She is the co-founder of the nonprofit, Akwaaba Inc. and the founder of Women, Writing, & Wine.

She is the mother of two kids, DeAna and Theo and the MiMi of two beautiful girls, Reyah and Kori. She currently resides in Cordova, TN where she is awaiting the release of her second book of the Rico’s Girls’ series, Dominated by Love and preparing to adjust to being an empty nester.
