Filles de Caleb
Series of 3 novels taking place during the 1800s and early 1900s based on the author's maternal ancestors showcasing countryside realities from women's perspective. Often read during high school as part of litterature and history classes. It was adapted to Tv in the 1990s.

Evengeline
Lovesong with many renditions that became sort of an hymn for the Acadians. It tells the story of a young woman losing her lover to the Acadian's Repulsion when the British conquered Acadia and deported men of fighting age. She finds him by chance during old age but only moments away from him dying.
