Good evening everyone! I'm Gail Nobles! It was around 1978 when I heard Shalamar song Take That To The Bank. It was written by K. Spencer and L. Silvers. The song was released in the good old days.

My mama and daddy had a big old giant glass jar, and they saved a lot of nickels, dimes, quarters, and some dollars too. In the jar, it was a heavy glass jar when it was full. During that time I was a child and didn't know what going to the bank was all about. Today, people put their money in the bank. I saw more people in the old days saving money at home. I don't see it quite as much today like I did then. People break in homes and steal so much. Now I see more people taking their money to the bank. I hardly see nickels, dimes, and quarters laying around when I go to someone's house. Today I don't see the Kennedy half dollar or the big silver dollars anymore. Dwight Eisenhower was on the big silver dollar. Money is on a credit card now or spent. Today we have online banks.

Getting back to Shalamar’s song Take That To The Bank, their song is the song I think of when I think of going to the bank. The song is you a unique song the lyrics are about money and love. Shalamar was singing about the things of relationship and life. Some hold that dollar tight, and they take that to the bank. This has been an explanation moment.
