Even after the Democrats replaced Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris as their candidate, Trump continued to hold a favorable position.
However, after a high-stakes presidential debate on September 10, the dynamics seemed to shift. Pundits widely agreed that Harris had outperformed Trump, potentially widening her chances of victory in the upcoming election.
Although this view contrasts with other post-debate polls that have emerged since the debate, it nevertheless underscores the significant role political debates can play in shaping public perception and influencing election outcomes.
In contrast, the significance of political debates is lost on Nigeria.
