De: Es ging los am hellen, sonnigen Morgen in Berlin.
En: It all began on a bright, sunny morning in Berlin.

De: Anna wachte auf und sah auf ihre Uhr.
En: Anna woke up and looked at her watch.

De: Es war schon 9 Uhr.
En: It was already 9 o'clock.

De: Sie streckte sich aus und stand auf.
En: She stretched and got up.

De: Sie war in der riesigen Stadt allein, doch sie freute sich auf den Tag.
En: She was alone in the huge city, but she was looking forward to the day.
