Prosecutors in the Rex Heuermann case have petitioned the judge for a buccal (cheek) swab from Rex Heuermann. Mr. Heuermann was arrested after a year long investigation and his DNA was traced from a discarded pizza box that contained a half eaten crust.
According to the DA's office, they want a better sample, because the one that was tested orignally was a bit degraded due to the elements.
We also get a look behind the scenes at the Unit in Suffolk county that was responsible for tracking down the alleged serial killer and how they are trying to deal with the horrors of human trafficking inside the jail.
