Not a guilt trip. But a thought. A closer view of what could be. I opened my heart this new season to reach beyond belief. What exactly does that mean? I wasn't sure when it fell out of my writing instrument in my journal. Taking what you know. Want to know. Will grow to know. Then watching it come to life not only in your heart. But through the paths of multiple separations that make up the community of church. I love it when new people arrive. I watch as the seed is planted. Sometimes it may grow their first morning. But through a process of changes and exchanges there is life inside the soil. But what I don't see in many cases. As much as we love those who offer the invitation for someone to grow forward. It's almost too easy to take note of what I call the drop off at the door. Thanks for coming. You're on your own. When reaching beyond belief. The goal is to help the visitor understand the changes they'll soon be going through. There are so many incredible things that take place. I also admit there's some negative stuff. Old friends don't understand the new beginning so they walk away. It invites the visitor to soon do the same. Hey what happened? I believe that with each invitation we need to complete the process by supporting the path that moment forward.
