"The Magi" is a short poem by W.B. Yeats in which pale, silver-helmed figures drift restlessly through the sky, their ancient stone-worn faces fixed in perpetual longing. Unsatisfied even by the turbulence of Calvary, these ageless wise men circle endlessly, compelled to seek again the raw, uncontrollable mystery of the Nativity. Yeats captures a tension between divine yearning and human incomprehension — a cycle of seeking that offers no resolution, only the haunting pull of something just beyond reach.
