When Wanderer came into my life recently, I became keenly aware that the truest aspects of the DIY ethos knew no bounds.

Speaking today with guitarist Brent Ericson, I was reminded that this podcast/reviewer still knows very little about the hardcore music scene and its bands, outside of loving what I'm hearing. Our conversation opened up a lot of new avenues for me, and I'm excited to pursue the journey of listening to all of Brent's references in my near future. I imagine I'll probably recommend to you to do the same.

Wanderer's new album is inspiring. So much so, that my own daughter listened to Liberation from A Brutalist Existence last night and asked me if she could draw an animation to the music and gift it to the band. I told her that other artists have been equally motivated by their music and she laughed and said, of course. It's really awesome.

That's probably all you need to know about Wanderer. They inspire while they break your ear canals.
