Story Transcript:

En: In Bergen, under the bright summer night, Ingrid and Lars were at a bonfire party. The fire danced playfully and people laughed loudly.

En: Ingrid, with rosy cheeks, was wearing a traditional Norwegian sweater. The sweater was new, with a blue and white pattern. The evenings were chilly now. She was glad she had it.

En: Lars, a good friend, also had a Norwegian sweater. His was old, cozy, and had a green and yellow pattern.

Nb: Musikken spilte, folk pratet og lo.
En: The music played, people chatted and laughed.

En: Without noticing it, Ingrid and Lars placed their sweaters in the same pile.

En: In the midst of the conversation, Ingrid took a sweater from the pile. She thought it was hers. But it was Lars's.

En: Lars also came to get his sweater. He only found the blue sweater. The one he had seen on Ingrid.

En: He laughed and shouted to Ingrid, "You've taken my sweater!"

En: Ingrid looked down at the sweater she had taken. Green and yellow, not blue and white. She laughed and blushed.

Nb: "Beklager, Lars!" ropte hun. "La oss bytte tilbake!"
En: "Sorry, Lars!" she shouted. "Let's switch back!"

En: So, in the light of the bonfire, they switched their sweaters back. They laughed loudly, they were happy.

En: Later that evening, they sat by the bonfire again. Ingrid in her blue and white sweater, Lars in his green and yellow one.

En: They smiled at each other. They had a good evening in Bergen, with the fire, the music, and their friends. Everything was as it should be. Nothing could spoil this evening.

En: The sweater was back with its rightful owner, and everyone laughed about the incident. People around them smiled and chuckled a bit. Perhaps some had learned a small lesson that evening; always keep a good track of your belongings!

En: That evening in Bergen, under the bright summer night, was perfect. The story of the switched sweaters became a funny story, one that everyone remembered and laughed about.

Nb: Slutten.
En: The End.
