In 1936, the flood waters in Johnstown rise again in this coming-of-age story about a young girl and her Irish-American family in Depression-era Johnstown.

Sixteen-year-old Fidah McCray has dreams of being an artist and a performer, but is discouraged by her family's reminders to be more responsible and mature. When Johnstown is suddenly faced with another severe flood, Fidah will have to quickly learn about taking responsibility, while also learning the continued importance of her dreams and her family.
