As per a report just released, as many as 85 percent of working women in India have said they missed out on a raise, promotion or work offer because of their gender compared to the average of 60 percent in the Asia-Pacific region. The LinkedIn Opportunity Index 2021 said that more women in India have experienced the impact of gender on career development when compared to the APAC region. More than 7 in 10 working women and working mothers feel that managing familial responsibilities often come in their way of career development. International Women's Day, which is on March 8th, is dedicated to celebrating women's achievements in the social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. This year, #ChoosetoChallenge is the theme, with a call to action for all to step up and challenge inequity. This International Women's Day lets #ChoosetoChallenge to bring positive change into our workplaces. Listen in!
