With a degree in horticulture from the University of Western Sydney and over 20 years of experience growing plants from arid and Mediterranean regions of Australia and South Africa, Jo O'Connell now owns Australian Native Plants Nursery with her husband in Ventura, California. They have been selling hardy, drought tolerant and beautiful plants since the early 1990s. Open to the public by appointment, the nursery also has an active mail order business where they ship all over the United States. In this episode, Jo will suggest some plant varieties that do well where drought is an issue as well as where rains are plentiful.
