Our guest this week is Vlad Anderson, Child Welfare and Attendance Investigator, a proud Veteran of our United States Marine Corps, and a retired Law Enforcement officer. He has over twenty-eight years’ experience as a Police Officer and has held numerous jobs such as Patrol Officer, Motor and Traffic Officer, BackgroundInvestigator, Threat Assessment Expert, and Detective. Vlad was a School Resource Officer for over 10 years before retiring from the police department and now working in the private sector as a Child Welfare and Attendance Investigator. One of his expertise is informing our communities on current trends impacting youths in today’s world.
“In today’s world of online schooling, our children are in front of a computer screen for more than 6 hours a day. Social media is a big part of many teens’ lives, which increases their screen time hours along with sometimes consumes their lives. Social media use can negatively affect teens, distracting them, disrupting their sleep, and exposing them to bullying, rumor spreading, unrealistic views of other people’s lives, and peer pressure. Vlad Anderson will share his expert knowledge on the impacts social media use is having on our teens and how we can save guard them against the negative impact
