show moreSara Carpenter is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Her research is deeply influenced by her work with refugee and migrant populations and her involvement in feminist, anti-poverty, and immigrant rights campaigns. As a critical education scholar, she delves into Marxist feminist theories, politics of the not-for-profit sector, and Marxist and feminist critical pedagogies. She has authored and edited several works, including "Revolutionary Learning: Marxism, Feminism, & Knowledge" and "Youth in/as Crisis: Young People, Public Policy, and the Politics of Learning.
