Story Transcript:

Ca: Era un dia assolellat al parc, on Marta i Jordi havien decidit fer un pícnic.
En: It was a sunny day in the park, where Marta and Jordi had decided to have a picnic.

Ca: Marta havia preparat un deliciós entrepà de pernil i formatge, que esperaven gaudir junts enmig de la natura.
En: Marta had prepared a delicious ham and cheese sandwich, which they hoped to enjoy together in the middle of nature.

Ca: Quan van arribar al parc, van trobar un lloc tranquil a l'ombra d'un gran arbre.
En: When they arrived at the park, they found a quiet place in the shade of a large tree.

Ca: Van estendre el mantell sobre la gespa verda i van seure còmodament.
En: They spread the mantle on the green grass and sat comfortably.

Ca: Marta i Jordi van riure i xerrar mentre compartien l'entrepà, gaudint dels raigs de sol que es filtraven a través de les branques de l'arbre.
En: Marta and Jordi laughed and chatted as they shared the sandwich, enjoying the rays of sunlight filtering through the tree branches.

Ca: De sobte, un esquirol entremaliat va aparèixer de no res i va saltar a la falda de la Marta, atrapant l'entrepà amb les seves petites potes.

En: Jordi, quick as a mouse, tried to catch the squirrel, but it ran to the nearest tree with the sandwich in its teeth.

Ca: Marta i Jordi van començar a perseguir l'esquirol, rient sense parar.

Ca: L'esquirol era un veritable expert a pujar arbres i es va moure amb rapidesa pel tronc mentre els dos amics el seguien de prop.

Ca: Van córrer al voltant de l'arbre, provant de minvar l'esquirol, però aquest els guaitava amb ulls brillants, creient que el joc era una competició molt divertida.
En: They ran around the tree, trying to wear down the squirrel, but the squirrel watched them with bright eyes, thinking that the game was a very funny competition.

Ca: Després de diversos intents fallits, Marta va tenir una idea brillant.
En: After several failed attempts, Marta had a brilliant idea.

Ca: Es va apartar una miqueta i va començar a cridar a l'esquiol amb una veu suau.
En: He moved away a little and began to call to the squirrel in a soft voice.

Ca: "Vine aquí, amic esquirol.
En: "Come here, squirrel friend.

Ca: No et farem res de mal!
En: We won't hurt you!

Ca: ", va dir amb calma.
En: ", he said calmly.

Ca: Semblava que l'esquirol l'havia escoltat, ja que va acostar-se a Marta amb una mica de desconfiança.
En: The squirrel seemed to have heard him, as he approached Marta with a bit of distrust.

Ca: Però en veure que Marta tenia una galeta a la mà, l'esquirol va deixar l'entrepà i es va apropar amb curiositat.
En: But seeing that Marta had a cookie in her hand, the squirrel put down the sandwich and approached curiously.

Ca: Marta li va donar la galeta amb molta delicadesa, fent que l'esquirol confiés en ella.
En: Marta gave him the cookie very gently, making the squirrel trust her.

Ca: Ara que l'esquirol ja no estava preocupant pel seu entrepà, Marta i Jordi es van asseure a l'ombra de l'arbre, admirant l'espectacle d'un esquirol gaudint d'un pícnic a l'inrevés.
