Fr: Dans les rues animées de Paris, Pierre se dirigeait vers sa boulangerie préférée pour son petit-déjeuner habituel : un croissant chaud, croustillant et délicieux.
En: On the busy streets of Paris, Pierre was heading to his favorite bakery for his usual breakfast: a warm, crispy and delicious croissant.

Fr: La boulangerie était toujours bondée à cette heure matinale, mais Pierre n'était pas découragé.
En: The bakery was always crowded at this early hour, but Pierre was not discouraged.

Fr: Il était déterminé à avoir son croissant, peu importe les obstacles.
En: He was determined to have his croissant, no matter the obstacles.

Fr: Lorsqu'il arriva à la boulangerie, il fut immédiatement submergé par l'odeur alléchante du pain fraîchement cuit.

Fr: Alors, il eut une idée brillante.
En: So he had a brilliant idea.

Fr: Il se mit à faire des gestes exagérés avec ses mains, espérant que le boulanger comprendrait son message.
En: He began to make exaggerated gestures with his hands, hoping that the baker would understand his message.

Fr: Pierre pointa du doigt la vitrine, puis fit un mouvement circulaire avec sa main pour imiter la forme d'un croissant.
En: Pierre pointed to the window, then made a circular movement with his hand to imitate the shape of a crescent.

Fr: Il espérait que le boulanger comprendrait qu'il voulait un croissant.

Fr: Mais ce qu'il ne savait pas, c'est que le boulanger avait une vue légèrement trouble et qu'il était également enthousiaste et un peu distrait.

Fr: Il la tendit à Pierre en disant : "Voilà pour vous, monsieur !
En: He handed it to Pierre, saying: "Here's yours, sir!

Fr: Pierre fut abasourdi.
