There are so many reasons to walk — each an incredibly personal and moving tribute, but everyone walks for a future without cancer. A future of hope — the day where no one must endure a diagnosis ever again. City of Hope’s Walk for Hope, returns in-person in L.A. for the first time since 2019 and expands to Orange County . Its DUAL walk time in Irvine AND Duarte on Sunday, Sept. 8. The events open at 7 AM with the program in Duarte (hosted by Lisa Foxx) starting at 9am, then the walk begins at approximately 9:30 AM and will conclude at about 1 PM.  It will be a family-friendly and accessible festival atmosphere with fundraising incentives and swag, experiential City of Hope educational activities and family fun zone including rock-painting for community art installation, survivor pavilion, photo opportunities and more. There's no cost to sign up, but we hope you'll inspire your networks in person and on social media to support City of Hope and its mission to make hope a reality for all touched by cancer.

Your participation in a 2K/5K Walk for Hope helps fund three important aspects in the fight to end cancer for all.
  • Cancer Breakthroughs. Your support shortens the time it takes to get from bold, innovative ideas to powerful, new treatments for cancers of all kinds — and, ultimately, the day we have cures.
  • Individualized Cancer Care. A cancer journey looks different for every person. You’ll help provide support groups, integrative therapies, educational classes and workshops, and more opportunities for compassionate, personalized care.
  • Health Equity. Together, we’re advocating for increased access to quality care and treatments, ensuring that everyone can have the opportunity to fight — and survive — cancer.
100% of net proceeds raised by Walk for Hope support City of Hope cancer research and life-giving care. JOIN US!! Please join/give to Team Lisa Foxx at www.CityofHope.org/WalkforHope

Aired August 25, 2024: In this podcast, Lisa talks to Joe Watterson, the Vice President Corporate Philanthropy, City of Hope. They talk all about how City of Hope fights cancer differently and how the Walk for Hope will rally people to make a difference.
