Tryin’ to Love Two was a hit song by R&B singer William Bell in 1977. Released from his album, Coming Back for More, it would become his biggest hit, reaching number one on the R&B charts and crossing over to the pop charts, reaching number ten on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] It would eventually sell over a million singles. The single was written and produced by William Bell and Paul Mitchell.

William Bell has a down home Southern soul style. He had real talent. “Trying to Love two” probably tells the story of what’s going on in some lives today. It’s a true song. I remember hearing the song when I was a little girl. Something about the music would put you in a certain mood. It’s just something about it. The music and words are both speaking I guess you could say. The song,“Trying to Love Two is a classic. It’s what you call good old school music, and people are still listening to this song today. It may be an old-fashioned song, but the truth in it still stands. People are still standing with it singing, Trying to love two ain’t easy to do.
