Eddie Upnick was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1953. He graduated from Benjamin Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York in 1971. In 1976, he graduated from New Paltz State University of New York with a BA in Anthropology. He worked as a joke writer for Rodney Dangerfield, among others, and as a ghost writer off and on between the years 1975-1996. In 1984, Eddie invented Super Chess which was named one of the top ten strategy games of the year by Games Magazine. He has been married since 1981 and also shares his home with a parrot and two tortoises.

Interesting that there was an election in Antigua in 1994
Perhaps Sydney was still working 😄
I can confirm that Sydney Dowse was in MI6 - I remember my mother \(his sister) telling me about the time she and her mother went to meet Menzies at the Dorchester – she said it was very cloak and dagger and they recognised Menzies by the rose in his lapel and the copy of the Times he was carrying 😄
Eddie says Sydney told him that Menzies was the one who suggested the two men were time travellers - they were in a bar - so there may have been a bit of banter going on
Personally if I was forced to abandon my country because it was about to be over run by Nazis I would be quite indignant if someone was to suggest that I was "defecting" but would want other parties to possess vital information
Sydney's great grandfather was from Westphalia of Jewish origins. His son was born in Manchester and served in the Royal Engineers for 30 years being stationed in Ireland, Barbados and Malta
His mother married a Protestant Irishman from Cork, her mother was a Catholic from Dublin
Sydney's uncles all changed their name during WW1 because anyone captured with a German name might be hanged for a traitor – one uncle changed his name back the others adopted their new names permanently
