"My show, A Cold Moon, focuses on playing a wide variety of screamo music. This eclectic, abrasive, and often lyrically left-wing genre is full of hidden gems and outstanding new releases which I love being able to showcase. Screamo's harsh sound, as well as its anticapitalist nature (Orchid, considered by many to be the greatest screamo band of all time, were explicitly communist), have locked the genre out of commercial radio stations, so college and community stations like WMPG are typically the only place where these beautiful and uncompromising songs can be introduced to a mass audience."
