  • Ep. 54 - Best Time at a Movie Theater

20 MAY 2024 · All my life, at least as far back as seeing “Batman” in 1989, some of my favorite memories were spent in theaters. I can still remember the way most of them looked, smelled, the popcorn, soda … I love it! So when the idea of this pod about my favorite times at the theater came up, I immediately thought of Mark from https://open.spotify.com/show/3IGOZ7mdnZ5PKzKehGQUXf?si=8MoHFulXQzaKIi5vBNTHzQ to talk about his favorite times. Together, we discuss movies, working and so much more!   If you’re not doing so already, please like and follow Classic American Movies on https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100094886876233 and https://www.instagram.com/classicamericanmovies/. This time, I made it a little more focused: My friends and I speak candidly about shock cinema; why I don't have a Netflix account and Farmer tells the story about her first time on a film set. • Cult Classics with Chris - Ep. 25 - Alex Cox (Repo Man, Sid and Nancy, Straight to Hell, Tombstone Rashoman)

6 MAR 2024 · Quite possibly one of the most recognizable names ever, Alex Cox joins me to talk about his iconic career, spanning over four decades. After realizing being an actor wasn’t in the cards, Alex decided to move to production (which was unpopular at the time) and has been making beautiful films since. "Repo Man," "Sid and Nancy," and "Straight to Hell," are just some of his iconic masterpieces. We talk about his early life, inspirations and his latest (as of the recording) movie “Tombstone Rashomon,” which is a retelling of the famous gunfight at the OK Corral, but from everyone’s perspective. • Ep. 50 - Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny

26 FEB 2024 · Every once in a while I’ll allow friends to pick a movie to research for the podcast. Baroque has been asking to do this flick for sometime now and I finally broke down and said yes. We both do a deep dive in the history of D, Jack Black as The Genie in the live action “Aladdin” franchises and more! Tenacious D really isn’t my thing, but I was glad to have finally watched this flick and it’s obvious why “Destiny” has become a cult classic over the years.
