It is our mission to help disadvantaged children by building and upgrading basketball courts around the world and supply them with basketballs and basketball gear.
On this podcast we discuss the 5 NBA players that have impressed us the most during the week in one way or another. This can be on or off the court, and we focus on positive stories. No "strip club trade dramas" here!

24 APR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. We’re about halfway through Round 1 and the biggest storyline so far are the many injuries to star players: Ja Morant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard. After a season of load management, these 4 players have already missed 6 Playoff games between them. Of course, what happened to Giannis and Ja were freak incidents and unfortunate to happen on the same day, but still. Anyway, here’s a quick update on the current series: the 76ers have sent the Nets home, the Bucks are struggling against Miami, Boston is taking its time with Atlanta and the Knicks are on course against Cleveland to achieve something they haven’t done in 10 years. In the West, the Lakers look in control of the series against the Grizzlies but all is still to play for. The Nuggets are pretty much done with the Timberwolves, much like the Suns are done with the Clippers. Luckily, there is 1 series that might go to 7, and that’s the Kings and the Warriors. This week, we go over 5 of the most impactful players of Round 1 so far. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
9 APR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. We’re almost there, there’s only a day left in the regular season. Most teams already know where they stand: in the East there’s a couple of teams jockeying for lottery positions but in the West a lot can still happen. The Pelicans and Timberwolves will play against each other to determine their fates. If Minnesota wins, they jump over the Pelicans to the 7-8 matchup but if the Pelicans win, they could jump all the way to spot 5, if the teams above them all end up tied in the standings. The Lakers should have an easy win against a Jazz team with nothing left to play for. A win could propel them over the Warriors into the Playoffs but that would mean the Warriors have to lose against the Blazers, and Portland hasn’t played any proper NBA players in a few weeks now. Maybe Lillard will make an appearance to stick it to Curry? I don’t think so. The Clippers play the Suns in what is likely to be the 4-5 match up in the West, so we get a bit of a preview there. And the Spurs and the Rockets are still working out who will be the second worst team in the league. It’s going to be an interesting day and chances are that by the time you hear this podcast, you already know how it played out. To avoid talking about things that don’t matter anymore tomorrow, we’re going to focus on the predictions we made at the start of the season. More particularly, in this week’s episode, we go over some of the worst predictions I made at the start of the season. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
2 APR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. There’s only one week left of the regular season, and the Sacramento Kings have clinched a home court Playoff spot! If you had told me before the start of the season, I’d thought you were absolutely out of your mind. The East is slowly taking shape and I don’t expect any surprises there but the West is wide open! Every day the standings change and teams are in and out of contention for Playoff positions. This week, we take a closer look at 5 possible contenders coming out of the Western Conference, but it has been difficult picking only 5 teams. I left out the Kings, because they have everything to prove in these Playoffs and the Clippers, who are struggling with injuries. But I wouldn’t fall off my chair if either one of these teams end up on top in the West, it’s just that crazy over there! Anyway, let’s get to it. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
26 MAR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. The LA Clippers are cursed, there is no doubt about it. Just as they start to put things together and climb the standings, Paul George hyperextends his knee and is out for the remainder of the regular season. These guys were actually becoming the number 1 candidate to come out of the West! It just makes the race over there even crazier. The Clippers of the East, the Miami Heat, are working on their end of season run and snuck into the top 6 just recently. They could prove to be a bit of a headache for Embiid and Philly in that first round matchup! Back to the West where the Mavericks have completely imploded and can’t win a game. They’ve dropped out of the Play-in game spots all together and look like they could be heading towards a crazy offseason with an unhappy Doncic and an unpredictable Kyrie. They have 9 games left to turn it around, that’s going to be great tv! As we’re approaching the end of the regular season, at the time of recording there’s only two weeks of games left, we’re going to focus on some of the contenders in both conferences. Next week, we’ll tackle the Western COnference, because a lot can still happen in the last few games. This week, we concentrate on 5 potential contenders in the Eastern Conference. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
19 MAR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. Before we begin, I want to apologise to Joel Embiid. Last week I said that nothing would change my mind about Jokic being the MVP. Well, I was wrong. Joel Embiid, and Giannis too for that matter, have completely changed my mind about the MVP race and these last 15 games are going to be crucial. Right now, as I see it, Embiid is the clear favourite, followed closely by Jokic and Giannis. Denver will need to finish the season strong to give Jokic a chance to get back on top and Philly would have to stall in their last stretch but they’ve won 7 in a row so far. For Giannis to take out the MVP, the Bucks need to keep winning, Denver needs to keep losing and Philly needs to stall. The exciting part? All these scenarios are possible and even likely! So, I’m sorry, Joel! I wish you all the best for the remainder of the season! The end of the regular season approaches quickly and after every game it becomes more and more obvious what teams are going to miss out on the Playoffs this year. The Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Charlotte Hornets are already out of contention altogether. Other teams are still in the mix but it’s clear that they’re not excited about that Play-In tournament. This week, we’re focusing on 5 great players that we almost certainly won’t see after the regular season. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
12 MAR 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. All-Star Weekend is finished, we’re in the final stretch of the season with only 20 to 15 games left to go until the end of the regular season. Things are getting more serious and finally, we start to see some real basketball on the courts around the NBA. The MVP race is heating up, with Embiid making a huge case for himself, and Jokic and Giannis doing what they’ve been doing all season. The Suns are climbing the standings and the red-hot Knicks all of sudden are losing some of their shine, dropping 3 games in a row. We see battles heat up for Playoffs seeding, Play-In games positions and even the lottery teams are winning unexpected games. This week we dive into 5 players that are leading their teams to wins on top of wins and want to finish the season strong. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
26 FEB 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. This week was supposed to be a huge podcast, raving about my 5 favourite things that happened during the All-Star Weekend. What a disappointment that was. Not worth the effort and definitely not worth your time! Instead, we will look at 5 guys who we believe will play a massive role in this final part of the season. Teams have only 20 to 25 games left and pretty much everyone still has something to play for. These 5 guys will play a massive role in the performance of their teams and the future of the franchise. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
19 FEB 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. It’s All-Star weekend! One of the many highlights for us, the fans, and a well-deserved break for anyone involved in the NBA. Every year, the league is trying to expand the festivities by doing new things and this year is no different. The All-Star Captains, LeBron and Giannis, get to pick their teams on the court, just before the start of the game. That means we’ll see locker room shenanigans, played out live in front of us. I can’t wait! Overall, it’s going to be a great weekend and I’m looking forward to all the events: the Rising Stars, the Saturday night events and, of course, the big game itself. But before we dive into the craziness, we can’t forget that we saw some proper basketball too earlier in the week. In this week’s show we touch on 5 players that have helped their teams make a run up the standings and turn their teams into Playoff contenders. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
12 FEB 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. Boom! That was an incredible finish to the trade deadline! The Nets have blown it up and traded Kyrie to Dallas and KD to Phoenix. Especially for the Suns this was a massive move, this didn’t open up their window to a championship, it smashed the window. I don’t want to overreact to this trade but the Suns are one of the clear favourites to come out of the West. The Lakers fixed their Westbrook problem by replacing him with another shoot-first point guard, D-Lo. Portland were involved in some weird trades, not aimed at helping Dame now but also not helpful to build for the future. And on top of everything else, they tried to trade an injured Gary Payton II without telling the Warriors. It’s not clear whether or not this trade will actually go through, and considering it involved 4 teams, 4 players and a whole bunch of picks. My goodness, who was running the war room in Portland? Anyway, a lot has happened before the deadline, but we won’t go over it today. We’ll revisit some of the trades in a later show, when we’ve had a chance to pick some clear winners and losers. This week, we go over the 5 Western All-Star starters. Mind you, we are discussing the original starters, not the replacements. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
5 FEB 2023 · Goeiedag, enchantée and welcome to this week's episode of Eight 2 Four presents: All-NBA Team of the Week. It’s been a weird week in the NBA. Giannis and Embiid have both taken over as frontrunners in the MVP race from Nikola Jokic after some amazing performances. Embiid dropped 47 points on Denver in a statement game, and followed it up by averaging 30 points and 10 rebounds per game over the next 3 games. Giannis, on the other hand, had two 50+ games this week. He dropped 50 against the Pelicans and 54 against the Clippers. In between, he ONLY made 34 points against the Bulls. To top things off, he averaged 16 rebounds per game in those 3 games. Those are some ridiculous stats! The Bucks have climbed to second spot in the East after winning 6 games in a row and are finally looking like the contenders they should be. And yet, after all that, the biggest news story of the week comes out of Brooklyn, where Kyrie has dropped another bomb on the franchise. More on that later in the show. This week we take a look at the Eastern All-Star starters that have been selected by all of us, aka the fans, by the media and the players themselves. I’m Peter Peake and this is your All-NBA Team of the Week!
