16 JAN 2025 · Thursday, January 16 - Dr. Jack Stockwell, http://www.forbiddendoctor.com/ & http://www.jackstockwell.com/ | Phone: 866-867-5070, shares the incredible story of how he and Doug’s friendship started over 20 years ago, with Doug guesting on Dr. Jack’s local program in Utah. Dr. Jack sheds light on just how unhealthy breakfast cereals are for our health, even the so called “healthy” ones, and why cooking oils need to be banished from all kitchens as there are more studies finding their link to inflammation, as well as a potential of cancer. A healthy diet isn’t about vanity, or being “fit;” it’s about overall health for the magnificent machine that is your body and helping your body to fight off diseases and illnesses, working at it’s optimum efficiency. Seed oils aren’t only unhealthy, they’re dangerous, and potentially deadly. Many of these seed oils become unstable when exposed to heat, degrade, causing the release of harmful chemicals. Then, Doug joins Dr. Jack for a Q&A conversation, covering the nutrients in the soil and the importance of taking care of it’s mineral content for healthy and nutritious foods, the body’s need for iodine.

14 JAN 2025 · Tuesday, January 14 - Host Doug Stephan and Dr. Ken Kronhaus of Lake Cardiology (352-735-1400) cover a number of topics affecting our health. First up, the effects of the wildfires in the LA area could have on those in the area, the latest finding from a study on how fluoride affects the body (especially the brain), a warning from the surgeon general and the link between alcohol consumption and cancer, and a new treatment using an old antibiotic for sexually transmitted infections could reduce the risk of contracting STIs. Plus, seven signs that you may have Adult-ADHD — including a combination of impulse behaviors, trouble with time management, mental fatigue, and forgetfulness — and steps to take from Dr. Ken. Then, opining that as we get older we start to think about how to better take care of ourselves, such as moving out of a home with stairs or taking over a bedroom on the first floor, but there’s more to it than that. Often times, in lieu of a nursing home, many move in with their adult children who become the caregivers. However, there’s more of a focus on “sandwich caregivers” now — adults who are taking on the role of caregiver to a parent or elderly loved on in addition to having young children in the home, too.
