5 NOV 2020 · Angelena interviews Anita Agrawal at the head office of Best Bargains (t/a Jewels 4 Ever) in Toronto, Canada. Agrawal is the CEO of the multi-award winning Canadian jewellery manufacturing company, Best Bargains and recipient of OWIT's 2012 Woman Exporter of the Year award. She is responsible for sales, promotions, advertising, jewellery designing and media relations. In addition to her work at Best Bargains, Anita has used her wide skill set to work with over 50 not-for-profit organizations in her capacity as a consultant to the Canada Council for the Arts and Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario. Over the years, Anita has been interviewed about her work by Canadian and international journals, including the Globe and Mail, Profit Magazine, Canadian Jeweller and more. Anita's passion for community engagement led her to run as both a provincial and a federal candidate in 2007 and 2008, respectively, for the New Democratic Party of Canada. Anita holds a B.Sc (hons) in human biology from the University of Toronto, a post graduate diploma in E-commerce from Centennial College and an MA in social anthropology from Carleton University in Ottawa. She has also taken executive courses at The Rotman School of Business and was selected as one of 12 Canadian mentees for the Accenture supplier diversity training program for 2013-2014. In May 2014, she was a Canadian delegate as part of a delegation to Italy by invitation of the Italian Trade Commission. In her spare time, Anita enjoys making art and volunteering.
