Hello my name is Kelly and I know just enough to be dangerous. This is a show about nothing in particular but I'm going to give you my opinion on it anyway. Remember that it's worth less than what you're paying for it I'm giving you a deal, really! Today's topic is allergies. Now I'm talking here from a position of experience because I've suffered with allergies for all of my life really. Nothing life-threatening I'm not allergic to peanuts or bee stings or things like that things of it can cause anaphylactic shock but I am allergic to dander, pollen you name it I'm probably allergic to it in some form or fashion. I'm especially susceptible to pollen which makes living through the spring and spring and fall especially miserable and I have consign myself to just suffer through it. Usually I wake up during those months and my eyes will be glued shut or I immediately start sneezing or I have my head feels like it's a bowling ball and I go to the go to the medicine cabinet and I look at open it up and look at my vast array of allergy medications and there's nothing about allergy medications. At least with me if I have something if I have a an over-the-counter medication that worked last year or last season is guaranteed not to work this time around. I don't know why so I always keep a stock of a broad spectrum of allergy meds and I have to go through day by day well this one didn't work so I got to go to the next one the next day that one didn't work I got to go to this one the next day and usually by a process of elimination I will find one that tends to work for about 50% of my symptoms and that's the one I stick with. Now I've also got some other methods that I used when I have really bad days to try and alleviate some of the symptoms. First is take a shower wash your hair get all that pollen stuck to me out of off of my body that helps immensely also my optometrist turn me on to this there's a product out there called ocusoft and it's a special soap that's designed just for your eyelids and eyelashes. You put a little bit on your fingers. you wash your eyes eyelids off while you're in the shower and helps a lot. You can look that up online ocusoft and it works well for me you can get it on Amazon places like that so that's a helpful hint. Another thing I like to do is change my air filters in the house and in the car you've got a few. A car that has a has a cabin air filter you're going to want to change that cuz those get clogged up in full of crap and the air filters in your house the same way they get to get full of all the pollen and stuff that gets blown in every time you open the door and it's it helps that create a more sterile environment at least in my case and it helps quite a bit one of the other things I've looked into doing and I I need to put it down on the list for a definite to do is to have my home air conditioning ductwork cleaned out. I've noticed that it's getting harder and harder to keep dust off of everything in my home I go around and I'll dust and then I'll come back the next day and it's it's got a layer again so I think that that's probably something that needs to be handled in a might help me in the long run or at least help me not have to suffer as much. ...
