14 FEB 2022 · Part 2 of my conversation with Claire Boe! In this episode, we dive into what it is like to be an athlete with a long-distance significant other and how to stay in touch with family when you go to school far away from home.
Claire is a wonderful role model when it comes to maintaining relationships and she gives incredible advice on how to work in time with your long distance relationships into your busy schedule as an athlete.
Thank you so much for listening to our Valentine's Day episodes :)
14 FEB 2022 · This episode is part 1 with my incredible teammate Claire Boe! It's Valentine's Day, so our theme is talking about "self-love". In this episode, we talk about what it is like being a 5th year, how to cope with getting injured, and how to love yourself throughout your career.
Thank you so much to Claire for being a fabulous guest and I look forward to you all listening to Part 1 and 2 :)
1 FEB 2022 · This is Part 2 of my conversation with my brother Nate Trzeciak. In the second half of our talk, we reminisce about his transition from being a high school athlete to a full time student and the difficulties that come with it.
Nate also speaks about his relationship with God and how that helps keep him in system throughout his daily life. He opens up about his religious journey and how it has completely changed his mindset.
I hope you enjoy! Thank you for listening :)
18 JAN 2022 · In this episode, I sit down with my brother Nate and talk about high school sports, competitor mentality and recovering from a potentially career ending injury.
Nate and I share very similar life paths. We both grew up playing sports, both played high school sports and both suffered an injury right before the start of our senior seasons. We compare the differences in the men's and women's sports in high school and talk about how to stay motivated when things get tough.
We talked about so many interesting things that we had to make a Part 2 :) so stay tuned for Part 2 where we talk about the transition from playing a sport in high school to focusing on building a career in college, how to stay "in system" without being a part of an organized sport, and how God plays a role in our everyday lives.
Thanks for listening!
8 JAN 2022 · In this episode, I catch up with my teammate Sierra who I met at Providence College. We were two out of the three incoming freshman in the 2014 class. We talk about what it was like growing up playing club volleyball, the recruiting process, and dive into what it was like to transition from high schoolers to freshmen as Division 1 athletes.
Both of our volleyball careers did not go as "cookie cutter" as we expected, which exposed us to a lot of physical and mental difficulties along the way. Sierra gives such a unique perspective on volleyball and life as an athlete that I'm sure many of us can relate to, but not many of us talk about: the identity crisis that comes after your sport ends.
16 DEC 2021 · In this week's episode, my younger brother Luke comes on and talks about the dynamic of the men's game, surviving COVID as a student-athlete, differences between D1 and D3, and more!
8 DEC 2021 · Introduction episode to the In System Podcast and getting to know the host Abbie Trzeciak!
