The kind of standup, privately introverted man who everyone loved and respected. He had no enemies, and he wasn't a womanizer. There was no sign of forced entry, no sign of struggle, no sign of injury, none of his posessions had been disturbed, and no one had seen or heard anything out of the ordinary The ripple effects of Greg Fleniken's sudden death emanated far beyond his hotel room. For a man who valued his routines, failing to call his wife, Susie, in the morning was more than an oversight; it was an alarm bell. His silence set a series of events into motion. Concerned co-workers, unanswered knocks, an unlocked door—these were the first steps into unraveling what had happened in that room. Susie had been expecting a routine call, but instead, she set off a cascade of inquiries that led two of Greg's co-workers to his hotel room. A minister of just 35 years, Matt sat on the front row at the service, his demeanor a tableau of inconsolable sorrow. When he lifted his head from his hands, his eyes, a light blue hue that was almost startling, met the congregation's gaze.
After the eulogy, Matt found the strength to stand beside the pulpit, his two remaining daughters flanking him. With each hug and expression of condolences he received, he assured the congregation that he'd be back to preach on the most hopeful day in the Christian calendar—Easter Sunday. "God has not abandoned me," he whispered to one close friend, "He will give me the strength to carry on."
But something unsettling began to shift about a month later. Rumors surfaced that Kari's mother, Linda Dulin, backed by her sisters and niece, was conducting her own investigation into Kari's death. The whispers intensified when word got out that Linda and her husband, Jim, had engaged a lawyer and private investigators. This was puzzling to many; after all, the Hewitt police had been convinced enough of Kari's suicide that they hadn't even requested an autopsy...

21 FEB 2025 · In December 2000, in a remote area of the Oder River in Poland, three fishermen discovered a dead body, initially mistaken for a log, near the shore. The corpse, with a noose around its neck and hands bound, was identified as Dariusz Janiszewski, a 35-year-old businessman from Wroclaw, reported missing by his wife four weeks earlier. Janiszewski's body showed signs of torture, starvation, and drowning. Despite an extensive police investigation featuring scuba divers and forensic specialists, no significant evidence was found. Janiszewski, described as a gentle man and an amateur guitarist, had a stable personal life with no known debts, enemies, or criminal record. He and his wife were planning to adopt a child. Moody would say during his trial that, cocaine-pushing space aliens took control of his body and forced him to murder Michelle Malone, a friend, and Patricia Magda, a neighbor, in November 1993 to prove that aliens existed. The aliens told him that their mission required that he be convicted and sentenced to die but that he would survive a lethal injection, he testified Wednesday.
"After being declared dead, the extrasensory biological entities will bring me back to life to speak through me," he further insisted that his involvement in these crimes was involuntary. Space aliens were in control of his body, and he was merely an unconscious observer of the murders.

His pulse quickening, he retraced his steps out of the cornfield, each footfall a heavy note in the otherwise silent expanse. He sought help with the weight of his grim find pressing down upon him, a burden he could not bear alone. The police officers, upon their prompt arrival, plunged into the investigative fray, their professional detachment strained by the young age of the victim. They were driven by the conviction that somewhere, perhaps within the quiet homes dotted across the sleepy town or beyond its borders, there was a void where this child once existed—a family missing their little one.
