In this episode we play an audio recording of Kootenai County Sheriff candidate Dan Wilson and Pastor Tim Remington of Altar Church. The conversation reveals the pastor's involvement in politics, especially as it relates to the sheriff's race in 2024. While releasing this audio is controversial and is going to anger some of the church community, it exposes the mishandling of spiritual authority and the bullying and coercion tactics being used against candidate Dan Wilson. The pastor engages in constant double-speak where his alliances and loyalties are in relationship to political power players like sheriff Bob Norris and County Commissioner Bruce Mattare.
Wilson states that the intent of this is to once again draw attention to bad behavior by pastors who should know better, who are heavily involved with the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee in different aspects. These are pastors who are both donors and involved in the KCRCC organization.
Dawna asks Dan, "People are potentially going to have trouble listening to the breakdown of this phone call with Pastor Tim if they don't first understand why it is that you recorded this conversation. Why did you record the phone call that day?" Dan says, "To protect myself. The most static, the most abuse that I received during the campaign, was from so-called local Republicans and church leaders. This was a one-off. Something told me I needed to record it. This whole event was in the early stages of the campaign and came on the heals of me questioning Bob Norris and Bruce Mattare's behaviors in their elected positions. I asked questions on behalf of the people, my questions were purposely twisted by Norris and Mattare, saying that I had accused them of criminal activity. I never said he committed a crime. Their whole argument was based on a lie in the first place.”
This conversation also combines conversations with Pastor John Pedulla of Altar church and his involvement in spreading lies about Dan's conversation with Pastor Tim Remington. The lies being spread about Wilson were the impetus behind releasing the conversation in its entirety.

In this part of our series verbatim transcripts are read revealing that a former DHS agent played a primary role in the meeting with a local pastor and one of his parishioners. This same former federal agent has local, political ties to the GOP and the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
In this episode, the conversation being revealed via these transcripts is winding down. The former federal agent hadn’t interjected in a while, but toward the end of the conversation goes on to highlight her career in federal law enforcement. She states that she’s a part of this meeting not to represent anyone but herself and after a 30-year career in federal law enforcement got involved in Kootenai County politics, “A little bit.” The former federal agent admits to being the president of the Republican women for a while until as she says, “It didn’t align with what I could do, and I resigned in February.”
The former federal agent states that she wanted to meet with Dan Wilson but was just not able to make time to do it aside from one event in January 2024 where she had to leave early due to another obligation. The fed then goes on to say that she started a non-profit to support law enforcement stating that “The guys and girls on the street should have nothing to do with politics. They’re out there putting their lives on the line. It shouldn’t be about what your political affiliation is…they should be supported.”
As the transcripts conclude, Dan and Dawna Wilson wrap up this part of the series by exposing the pastor and former federal agent’s agenda to distract and manipulate with professional interview and interrogation technique. The former federal agent is involved in local politics and social groups all over Kootenai County including the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee, special political advisor to pastors and Sheriff Bob Norris, advisor to Bob Norris’s non-profit helicopter program, local art commissions, involved in a resiliency and preparedness organization, a large regional non-profit, and started her own non-profit.
Wilson further dissects the pastor’s relationship with the sheriff and KCRCC saying that it could be one of two things, “Either it’s a tribal relationship meaning the pastor helps them and they in turn help him. The second possibility is that the pastor is being leveraged by somebody whether it’s homeland security, other federal agencies, maybe local, we don’t know. What we know is that he refused to meet with me and a plausible explanation is that he could not risk getting to know me or showing support because those who are leveraging him would be exposed.”

In this episode, we diver further into this pastor’s political involvement despite his insistence that he is not and knows little about local politics. As the dialogue unfolds the pastor shares with the parishioner rumors that he’s heard regarding Dan Wilson’s personal life. The parishioner advocates for Wilson and sets the record straight regarding Wilson’s Christian faith. Dan and Dawna go on to share their personal story, shooting down the false rumors regarding their relationship.
The transcripts show that the lies and propaganda being spread about Wilson on social media, originated from this pastor and his political advisor, a former federal agent. The social media attacks on Dan Wilson that gained momentum through the campaign, were promulgated from members of this same church who sit on a political advisory committee with the pastor.
The pastor accuses Wilson of doing nothing but mudslinging in his campaign while the Wilson’s provide a counterargument to the mudslinging accusations. As Dan Wilson researched Sheriff Bob Norris, his disability retirement from LASD, and his crooked helicopter program, he published his findings on his website and social media. Wilson says, “It’s obvious that local media refuses to publish facts surrounding Sheriff Bob Norris and his associates. We made a bold move to publish our research including facts and evidence regarding Norris’s history, his inconsistencies, and his failed policies and programs here in Kootenai County. That’s not mudslinging. It’s truthslinging and if you don't like it, I don't care.”

In this episode, the church parishioner attempts to continue through their points of concern regarding the current sheriff while the pastor and former federal agent interrupt and interject their own points and counterarguments. Then shockingly, the pastor completely shifts gears and asks, “Is Dan Wilson a white supremist?” the parishioner answers, “No. No.” then the pastor asks, “What’s his position on Israel? I’d like to know.” The pastor encourages the parishioner to ask Wilson about these things and expresses his grave concerns. Rather than asking Wilson about these things himself, the pastor states that he has seen some of Wilson’s strongest supports, the noisy ones, that are antisemites and that terrifies him.
Another highlight of this episode is that the pastor states that almost everyone who runs for office in Kootenai County comes and sees him personally. He says that Dan sent a "one-liner" email, and that Wilson didn't do enough to get his attention saying, "I don't pursue them. They pursue me."
