In the exclusive circles of the Austrian nobility in Rome, only the elite are welcomed, and high rank and wealth reign supreme. Cecil Sterzl, though not of their kind, has somehow earned their trust as a likable outlier. However, his younger sister Zinka enters this world with naive charm and freshness, only to be met with icy disdain. As she captivates hearts—especially that of the dashing Count Sempaly—she also stirs jealousy and contempt among the established members of this elite society. They are determined to uphold their long-held beliefs about social hierarchy, even if it means battling against the winds of change… Discover the story of Ossip Schubin [Aloisia Kirschner], a once-celebrated Austrian novelist of Bohemian descent, who spent her formative years in the enchanting city of Rome.
