Young Broadcasters of America builds intramural Satellites of young people (ranging from ages 9-19) whom are aspiring for the noble trade of broadcasting throughout the Americas. Provide a platform for discussion about issues, concerns and interest of young people. Encourage scholastic and moral excellence by rewarding those young people whom achieve high marks on report cards and whom display altruistic values. Strengthen members’ basic knowledge and command of the American-English language. Encourage young people to develop their journalistic talent. Prevent and reduce truancy occurrences. Serve as an outlet for youth creativity and expression as an alternative to violence. Initiate apprenticeship programs in various journalistic, artistic, and technical aspects of broadcasting. Provides hands on training in the club-members’ field of interest in a “state of the art” production and broadcasting studio.
