    Dalia Stefanie

13 MAR 2023 · She was 16 when she discovered that her real name was not Stefanie. Stefanie was her middle name. Her first name was Dalia. And now, in her 70's, Dalia has reclaimed her birth name. Dalia was inspired to tell her story by young women like Australian of the Year - Grace Tame who made it clear that they would not be silent about sexual abuse. Dalia's story telling offers insight into the beliefs, assumptions and societal shifts that have shaped attitudes towards abuse and trauma since the 1950's.
