Six degrees of separation is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from one another. Curious storyteller Sarah Horbacewicz decided to put this theory to the test in the unique city of Ithaca, New York. To explore this idea Sarah picked up a telephone book, flipped to a page, and interviewed a random member of the community. From there, connections developed -- and so did a series.

The idea was simple as whatever name I blindly pointed to in the Yellow Book would be my next interviewee. But 'simple' could never describe the journey that this first call would take me on.
