14 MAY 2023 · This episode features Annette Chambers of the Southside Harley Davidson family in Indianapolis, IN. She shares the amazing story of her family’s love affair with motorcycles.
She is the fourth of five generations who have made this great dealership so successful. Annette comes from a long line of strong women who love to ride. From her childhood sharing a sidecar with her sister while her parents travelled the country, to her current beloved Buell, she has lots of fun stories and great advice and encouragement to share with us.
7 OCT 2022 · My guest today is Len Bilello, the host and producer of the podcast Arrive Alive. He may not be a Sportbikegrrl, but he's someone who I really want you to know about. Arrive Alive is a podcast devoted to motorcycle safety. It may sound a bit dry, but it couldn't be more fun and enjoyable to listen to. When doing some research before starting my own podcast, his was one of the first that I discovered and listened to. He has recorded over 50 episodes so far and has an impressive roster of guests that he has chatted with, including many terrific women riders.
Len is also the organizer of the Meet Up group, NYC Motorcycle Meetup. They host many great rides and events, including their Two-Wheel Tuesday meetups. If you ride in the NY tri-state area you need to check it out!
My guest has some terrific stories and advice to share with us all. We never got around to telling the tale of his moto mishap on the Hutchinson River Parkway in NY, but I encourage you to listen to his first episode to hear that story and also more about the incident in 2019 that inspired him to launch his podcast. And of course the dozens of episodes to follow, all filled with great advice and information.
10 SEP 2022 · I’ve really been looking forward to today’s episode for quite awhile. I get to chat with three incredible women from right here in Connecticut. They are all avid 3-wheelers, all owners of Can-Am Rykers, so we are focusing on the 3 wheel life today.
Those who are familiar with the massive growth in popularity of 3 wheelers know that the main players in this sector of motorsports are Can-Am and Polaris. Today we are going to focus on the Can-Am, a company that for decades was synonymous with motorcross bikes.
Now they are most widely known for the 3-wheels models the Ryker and the Spyder. While the Spyder is larger and has other design differences, the primary difference between the two is horsepower. A base-model Ryker comes with a 2-cylinder 600cc engine, where the Spyder is fitted with a 1,300cc 3-cylinder engine that produces about 105 horsepower.
The Ryker is definitely powerful enough for Trilogyon3 in CT and I’m really excited to share their story with you here today. They are so passionate about 3-wheelers, I;m sure you’re going to enjoy our talk just as much as I did. Stay tuned!
14 AUG 2022 · This week, my guests are the two biker girls behind the YouTube channel, Moto Babes Co, Audrey and Dalia. These Harley women are both co-workers and friends and just a few months ago launched their new channel dedicated to reviewing the best of women’s moto gear. Both women want to bring attention to the businesses that are catering to women’s riding needs. As female riders we demand style, functionality, quality and safety. It may be a tall order but the best brands are already out there doing it, but many women entrepreneurs are stepping up and helping to fill the wide gap between men and women’s gear in both quality and selection. Women are the most powerful buying influence in nearly every consumer market and brands would be wise to pay attention.
We are going to talk about a few of those brands today, but I hope you’ll take a moment to check out their terrific channel, Subscribe and like your favorite videos. Their 5th video uploads today, 8/15 so please be sure to watch.
Audrey and Dalia share their knowledge and insights on helmets, riding shoes and everything in between. Stay tuned for our chat and learn more about these two hard-working women and hear their own personal moto stories.
23 JUL 2022 · Hey there, I’m Linda, the creator and host of the podcast Sportbikegrrls.
Sportbikegrrls is THE podcast for women who are obsessed with sport bikes and all things motorcycle. Launched in January of 2022, the purpose and mission of my podcast are two-fold.
First, I want to share with you my personal moto journey, finally learning to ride at age 55 and achieving this long-held personal goal. I encourage women of all ages who also dream of learning to ride by offering them the support and the information they need to do so.
Also, I celebrate the women riders who are already out there blazing the way for the rest of us and I feature one fantastic guest each episode who tells their story to you. Whether they are track racers, entrepreneurs, moto gear designers, motovloggers, authors, industry insiders – they all have some amazing advice and inspiration to share with my listeners.
My guests have been a diverse group of riders whose lives have been transformed by their love of motorcycles. For example, author and industry insider Alisa Clickenger, BrittBraap, track rider and founder of BadAssHelmetBows, Cris Simmons, co-founder of Harley Woman magazine, Karan Andrea, founder & president of the Riveter Chapter of the AMCA, Jen Burch, passionate rider and co-founder of HighTail hair, and my upcoming guest 15-year-old racing phenom and the first professional female racer to win a MotoAmerica race, Kayla Yaakov, to name just a few.
The best part about Sportbikegrrls? You don’t have to be into motorcycles to enjoy these stories of female success and empowerment. I hope you’ll stay tuned!

In this episode, we have a great conversation about what inspired her to ride, how she chose her first bike, and what her early learning experiences were like. With close to 200 videos posted since she began her channel in 2016, we highlight just a few of my personal favorites. She has so much great advice and encouragement to share with us all, no matter where you are in your riding journey.
We also talk about how she got that nickname Doodle and you’ll hear when we both realize that we have something pretty cool in common! Please stay tuned.
9 JUL 2022 · In this episode I speak with Loren Turnbull, founder of Girl Moto Media. This media company is launching a global digital magazine for women riders around the world that will feature a terrific range of articles of interest to all women who ride. In addition to the ezine launching on July 31st, there will be several other ways that Girl Moto Media will provide content, including a podcast, YouTube channel, and other social media. But ultimately, Girl Moto Media is about creating community.
Loren is building an incredible resource for women riders worldwide and I am so excited to share both her personal riding story with you here today, but also talk about this remarkable undertaking that is going to bring incredible excitement and attention to the needs and interests of women in motorcycling around the globe. Please stayed tuned!
4 JUL 2022 · Not So Girlie is this week's guest, a wonderful rider and blogger named Veronica. She lives on Long Island in NY and has created a blog named Not So Girlie. Veronica was born in PR and learn to ride five years ago in an MSF course. We have a terrific conversation about the process of learning to ride, how she choose her first bike, as well as her perspectives on woman and motorcycling, the lack of good gear for women, issues of safety and so much more. I really think you’ll enjoy it! Stay tuned!
25 JUN 2022 · My guest today is rider and moto gear innovator Jen Burch, co-creator of Hightail Hair. This incredible product helps riders with long hair to not only stay safe while riding, but it keeps their hair tangle-free and looking fabulous once the ride is over. She has such a terrific story to share. Jen has ridden and owned motorcycles not only in the US, but in Japan and Australia as well. It was her own struggles with containing her long, fine hair that led to her creation of Hightail Hair. There may be some other similar products out there, but there is nothing like a Hightail, and we will tell you why.
14 JUN 2022 · My guest on today’s episode is one amazing lady, Verity Yata. You probably know her on Instagram as @crazy.asian.lady and she is a powerhouse. I don’t think I've met anyone who’s done so much, so well, against some pretty big odds. Despite the challenges she has faced in life, this sportbikegrrl is out to conquer.
Verity’s a mechanical engineer, runs her own professional photography business, is a martial arts competitor, a cancer survivor, and takes some of the greatest pics I’ve seen online with her little sidekick, her dog Stella. Oh, and she rides a Ninja.
I love her passion and drive, not to mention her outrageous sense of humor. You need to hear the full story directly from her and she’s here to share it with you.
