17 JUL 2020 · Today the world has really become what Marshal McLuhan said decades ago, ‘the global village’, thanks to the ubiquitous social media that has created an interconnected virtual world.
But vices of the social media have outweighed their virtues. They have not only served as the means of prompt communications and creative platforms, they have also become an addiction for the users, negatively affecting their mental, social and family life.
Other countries like Germany and Australia have brought in measures to control online content, should this policy/policies be adopted in Nigeria too?
