Genesis 39:21-23
Main idea: God has given us purpose in times of hardship.Â
God is with us in the difficult times (39:21).Â
God’s kindness is present in even the worst circumstances (39:21).Â
God’s favor takes the form of responsibility (39:21-23).

Main idea: We must flee from temptation.Â
We must run from temptation because giving in to sin…
 …destroys trust (39:8-9a).
…damages relationships (39:9b).
…is an affront to God (39:9c).
We must avoid situations in which we may be tempted (39:10).Â
Our desire for integrity must be greater than our desire for pleasure (39:11-20).

Main idea: Trusting in God requires full faith and surety.Â
We must serve where we are (39:1-6).
We must suffer with faithful expectation (39:21-23).
We must rely on God and give him the praise (41:15-16).
Our faithfulness will bless both ourselves and others (45:4-8).
