2 AUG 2021 · As a business owner or salesperson, you know marketing is important if you’re going to get clients through your door.
Marketing is the avenue most businesses take to generate leads that turn into customers but there are a lot of myths regarding marketing. So today, let’s put these myths to the test to find out what is real and what is fake, let’s dive in!
MYTH #1 – having a pretty website alone is good enough…
-You can build a website on your own or have a friend build it but if you don’t know how to generate leads, your stunning website is useless
-Social media…
-Print marketing…
-Ads
-Referrals…
MYTH #2 – digital marketing is an expense, not an investment
-All marketing should be an investment. If you are not getting a return on your marketing activities, stop spending money on it ASAP!
MYTH #3 – I’m good at sales, I don’t need to know marketing
-How are you getting your leads?
-Your marketing should fill your pipeline and fuel your sales
MYTH #4 – everyone is your customer
-If you’re trying to sell to anybody and everybody, you will end up selling to nobody
-Get clear on who you serve and how you help them…
MYTH #5 – I don’t need a marketing plan
-Would you go on a road trip without a map (or GPS)
-You need to know where you’re going to find true success
MYTH #6 – I can copy what my competitors are doing and have the same results
-Look, your competitors may have good ideas but they’ve tested what’s going to work with their audience – their ideal customer may not be exactly the same as yours and you have no way of knowing that.
-Do your own planning, testing, and strategizing
MYTH #7 – inbound marketing is just a fancy word people use and isn’t relevant for growing my business
-Inbound marketing is my favorite form of marketing. It’s all about providing value to your audience to get them to sign up for your email list.
-Lead generating PDF + funnel… email sequence customer

Chances are that your website isn’t generating as many leads and converting as many customers as it can be. We’re going to fix that together right now.
I’m going to share 5 things you can do this week to get more leads on your website. Here they are…

b.Creating regular content not only positions you as an industry expert and looks great to potential customers but is also helpful for people to be able to find you on search engines like Google. Google loves fresh content.
c.So create, create, create. You’re an expert in your field. Share your expertise.
3.Capture emails with a lead generating PDF
a.One of the best ways to communicate with potential customers is via email
b.People hold their email tight, it’s sacred

a.Put a direct call to action on the far right of the navigation bar
i.Make sure it’s bold and stands out

There are a lot of ways to get referrals… and I’m not going to share the best strategy until we get to the end.
Appreciation is an excellent tool because what you appreciate appreciates… think of it like appreciation in your house, it goes up in value over time… what that means for referrals is that by appreciating your clients, friends, and referral partners, their value will go up – they will want to refer more business to you…
Some great ways to show appreciation…
- Send thank-you notes
- have events
NOW, the best strategy for getting referrals… TALKING ABOUT REFERRALS
WHAT? Yes, by teaching on referrals, you become an authority on referrals and that makes you referrable
That’s one of the reasons I began working with REFERCO and happily endorse them…
