Do you remember Mass Production Firecracker. It's a 1979 song by the band and Mass Production is a fun disco musical group best known for that Firecracker hit number four on the R&B chart in the late summer of 1979.
Firecracker is a dynamite explosion of sound that's bursting with energy. The track fuses soul, fun, and a dash of the party spirit that was sweeping the nation.
From the very first Firecracker ignites a spark that pulls you right into its groove with a catchy baseline that's as smooth as silk. You'll find your feet tapping and your body swaying before you even know it. The brass section blazes through with those killer horns, And let's not forget the dazzling vocal harmonies that light up the track calling everyone to the dance floor.
The song Firecracker is the perfect anthem for those Summer nights filled with barbecues, dancing under the stars, and enjoying life to the fullest. Whether you're at a party or cruising with the top down, this tune is a surefire way to elevate the mood and spread good vibes.
Somebody's outside shooting firecrackers right now in the neighborhood.
This is Gail Nobles signing off with a reminder: Pull up those great tunes. Make those playlist and keep music grooving. Until next time, keep music in your heart and mind.

Ernest Ernie & the Sincerities has a single entitled Do Something.
I know
I know, my brother, that your heart is dying
And I know
I know, my sister, that you're tired of trying
And we used to say
That we shall overcome
But with all the dues that they refuse to pay
We've grown cold and numb...
That’s just part of the first verse.
And the Chorus it says: And I know, I know, I know
This world is so divided
And you know, you know, you know
But what are you gonna do about it?
You gotta do something, say something.
Ernest Ernie has a nice voice and a nice song. Ernest Ernie and the Sincerities is vintage pop/soul big band from Brooklyn, New York. They have a nice sound. It's a sound like the old school and his lyrics really makes sense and matter in a world like today. So check out Ernest Ernie and the Sincerites. Check out their song Do Something.

James Brown was live in Rome in 1971. In Rome, he was singing Sex Machine, Give It Up or Turn It Loose,It's A Man's World, Soul Power, Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved, and Sunny. The show originally aired on an Italian music program Teatro 10.
Rome was a good place for James Brown to perform. It looked as if Rome loved his entertainment and performance. They loved James Brown. There was great applause. Featured in the show was Bootsy and Phelps Collins.
Before the Internet came along, I couldn't really imagine James Brown in Rome. I have never been to Rome, and I always think of its past. I'm sure now there is a modern side to Rome. When I saw the video clip of James Brown performing there, I had no idea that where he was performing was Rome. I thought it was America.
James Brown performed in Rome the year I was born, 1971. So you know I didn't know anything about James Brown and Rome then. Then I learned later as I grew older about James Brown. He was a man born in Barnwell, South Carolina, and I was born in North Carolina. James Brown was born down south like myself, and I learned that he performed in Rome; a man with so much talent. Before I learned about where he was born, I thought he was born in New York or California. With the talent James Brown had, he prove it doesn't matter where you come from. Know I see how he became successful and was able to travel to Rome. James Brown shared what he called the Funk; a genre he invented. The Godfather of Soul.

The Dramatics are a soul music vocal group formed in Detroit Michigan in 1964. Sometimes they remind me of the Temptations with the Motown sound. They are best known for their 1970s hit songs In the Rain and Watcha See is Watcha Get”, both of which were Top 10 Pop hits.
Today I want to talk about the song Trying To Get Over Losing You by Dramatics written by Charles Richard Cason & Produced by Don Davis. The single comes from the 1975 album titled The Dramatic Jackpot. It is the third song on the album. Although I don't know how well the song succeeded, it sounds like it was a hit. It sounds like the whole album was a winner. The single trying to get over losing you is a song talking about trying to get over losing someone, but it has a very uplifting tune. The group has great harmony and energy singing it. The Dramatics remind me of the Temptations with their bass singer.
Trying To Get Over Losing You is a song that I have never heard before, and when I heard it, I had to listen to it more than once. I love this song.
So if you're looking for some great tunes to add to your list, check out music by the Dramatics and listen to their song Trying To Get Over Losing You. I'm Gail Nobles thank you for listening to the Buzzly Podcast.

It was 1973 when Dick Clark tried to launch a black dance show of his own like Soul Train. It was the American Bandstand that featured teenagers dancing to Top 40 music introduced by Clark. There were artists like Jerry Lee Lewis to Frankie Lymon.
It was Soul Train that had black teens wearing Afro hairstyles and bellbottoms. Don Cornelius featured music artist like Gladys Knight and The Pips, and Eddie Kendricks. By 1973 Soul Train had helped to define and poplar rise the sound of R&B music and American Bandstand was the same for Top 40.
Like The Hippest Trip in America, Soul Train, music artist, bands, and groups appeared on Soul Unlimited. It was Buster Jones who appeared as the host of the show. He interviewed music artists like Gladys Knight and The Pips in 1973.
(music)
Jones was a diss jockey. During his career as a DJ he worked in Washington DC and in Los Angeles. He also did voice work in commercials which led to his career as a voice actor in TV series.
Jones appeared as the host of Dick Clark's Soul Unlimited. He introduced musical guest Gladys Knight and The Pips in 1973 when they were singing songs like Neither One Of Us and It's Gotta Be That Way. Beautiful song.

10 MAR 2024 · Hello! I'm Gail Nobles! Welcome to the Buzzly Podcast. Today I want to talk to you about Dick Clark's Soul Unlimited. Now, Dick Clark already had a music dance show called the American Bandstand. It aired regularly in various versions from 1952 to 1989. In 1952, the show was hosted by Philadelphia radio DJ Bob Horn. Dick Clark replaced Horn as host in 1956 just before the show was renamed American Bandstand. It was first called Bandstand.
There was another television show that aired called Soul Train from 1971 to 2006 the series was created by Don Cornelius who also served as its first and longest serving host and executive producer the show primarily featured performances by R&B soul and hip-hop artist did Clark.
Did Clark decided to bring his own version of Soul Train on the air and called it Soul Unlimited. He wanted a black dance show of his own like Soul Train. According to the DailyMail report (dailymail.co.uk), Clark power move outraged black political leaders. Dick Clark’s show Soul Unlimited didn't last very long. It was short-lived all-black version of American Bandstand and answer to Soul Train.
I'm Gail Nobles! I'll be back with more of today's topic Soul Unlimited. Stay tuned!

Have you heard of the single Darryl White? He is the son of Barry White talks and sings just like his father. He made a song titled Me Holding You. Daryyl has his father’s style, but his voice sounds younger than his father's voice. When he sings, he talks he talks smooth just like him. Darryl has a deep bass voice as well.
In my opinion, I dont’t think that Darryl is in the shadow of his father Barry White at all. If he would come back and sing more songs and continue his singing career. If I were a music producer, I would go find him. I wouldn't care about the media and what the headlines say about his battle with his ex stepmother. And I wouldn't worry if he measured up to his father's burial or not. Darryl is his own person with talent. Some things he took after his father and some things he took out that his mother. And when he was born, he was born another human being.
Come back Darryl White if you can. Come back and sing more songs. Your talent wasn't given to you for nothing. You have a purpose too, and people did notice you. There were people that did like your singing.
Wherever you are, I hope that you are well. Never give up on your talent. Never give up on your dreams.
