31 AUG 2021 · Houston based quintet Mirror Lake take an arrangement of powerful vocals, and blend it with heavy melodic instrumentals to create an emotional and unique sound. Formed in 2017 , the Post-Hardcore/ Alternative outfit set out to make songs based off of their own experiences and emotions. The band created quite the entrance with their first 3 singles, and even captivated the hearts of the scene with their fresh and ambitious take on the REM classic, “Losing My Religion”. Mirror Lake most recent effort “Unspoken” is a journey into the minds of the band. It features stories about personal events and possibly a topic deemed “hard to talk about”. The track is an honest confession about the world they have experienced. “I wanted to give people honesty” expressed vocalist Avery Clay in a recent interview. “There are times I’m writing for the band that are borderline uncomfortable. I had to shake the fear of expressing myself , because I wanted others to be able to do the same thing” The ML crew are set to release a full body of work in 2021, including the newest single "bury you" Be sure to follow on Instagram for more updates @mirrorlaketx

30 AUG 2021 · Tucked away in the rural part of Pennsylvania, lies a small page, that began almost by accident. After graduating college, Alonna Weaver was looking for something to do in her free time between work and her new internship. After being approached by Ricky Wells about starting a media page, a hesitant Alonna interviewed her first band, and ended up taking the ball and running with it. What started off at first as a hobby, ended up causing Alonna to fall in love with the journalism aspect of music. A classically trained musician, with a degree in Audio Engineering, it seemed unlikely for this to happen, but Alonna decided to give it a shot anyway. With a tag-team duo, Ricky and Alonna were able to put on their first ever event as a media outlet in June, 2019, at the Sherman Showcase in Stroudsburg. Since 5-7-0’s creation in April, 2019, they have interviewed numerous local bands, including national touring acts, Tallah, Neverkept(ex-Broadside members), Handguns, Broadside, and many more! The fall saw many new beginnings for 5-7-0, with the addition of managing editor Jordyn Diana, and numerous partnerships with other various media outlets, including Hazleton News 1. Following this, 5-7-0 also became a media partner with Devil Inside Records, an independent Pittsburgh-based record label. Now an unstoppable team of 4, with a strong support system behind them, 5-7-0 hopes to put Northeast Pennsylvania on the map, one article at a time!Author Credit: https://www.570press.com/

23 AUG 2021 · Gulf coast rockers Silent Trust draw from a handful of influences ranging from epic ‘80s anthems to grunge, to heavy metal and modern contemporaries like Breaking Benjamin to create a sound they’ve heard compared more often to a moment than to any music the listener has heard before—a je ne sais quoi mixture of thunderous drums and bass and captivating guitar imbued with the spirit of survival and resilience to keep the music flowing through unimaginable circumstances including depression, homelessness, being repeatedly ravaged by tropical storms and even cancer. With a new round of singles produced by Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank), the band start from square-one, making a firm sonic declaration positioning them to spread their message to the largest audiences they’ve seen yet. It’s clear these humble Mississippi rockers belong on massive stages with their heartfelt rock blasted through towering stacks to thousands of people who may find just what they need to escape in their music.“I’m hoping that when people hear the songs, they release all the emotions there at the concert,” explains vocalist Andrew Cospelich. “I want them to go home happy instead of going back to the depressed state. To have that feeling of possibly saving someone’s life—that’s a big game-changer. I feel like I’m returning a favor.”Author Credit: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3PDXs98MiZI2A09IxTXc4K
