22 JUN 2024 · The "tell-a-vision", also known as T.V., does not tell the young children what to think. It does not implant subversive message into their minds. This conspiracy is the conspiracy. The television is the surrogate parent. It provides the warm hug, the teat, the care and affection… artificially. It tells the child that everything is going well. Except that all is not well… there is no adult-child engagement, there is no nature, there is no play. The brain is being stunted, the brain is becoming something that can be controlled and manipulated by the "powers that be" later in life. The brain is becoming the brain that "they want". Easier said than done, but just remember that nature can fill in the blanks so adults can have a break. Nature can also provide that break that adults are looking for. Can parents find a solution? One solution, albeit compromised, is to provide a listening station, for young children in the home. Some big headphones and a comfortable quiet space. A young child will engage longer with audio through headphones than television with googly eyes. Better yet, let them play out in the fields with you, and/or with God. Clara Codd's Theosophy for Very Little Children has a lesson about thought called "What Things are Like". It affirms the connectedness that young children are a part of. It teaches about thought. It is an important lesson because although it is a type of formal instruction (which Gino is against), it is an example of how you can talk to children once you have their bond, their respect and acceptance. Notice how in this lesson there is no telling anyone what to think or how to think. It talks about the truth of thought and paints a picture of what we cannot see, yet we are all affected by. 12 JUN 2024 · In this episode we talk about courtesy. Courtesy is the sign of good behaviour, according to an ancient story from the Panchatantra. Does that mean we have to be courteous? No. Is it a good idea to be courteous? Yes. Why? because it is the right thing to do, the decent thing to do. It is the opposite of being discourteous. Discourtesy is the lack of social grace. It brings us into the world of the psychopath and the sociopath. Back to the Panchatantra, being courteous is a sign. It is a signal that you are a decent person. It sets the standard. It draws a line in the sand. It sets a boundary. It gives us cause when we respond to the bad behaviour and wrong-doings of others. Just like in this episode's fairy tale, The Three Bears. Set up your environment as a play environment. What else can you do? You can practice gratitude and visualisation. So can they! Encourage them to realise what they love in their life. 21 MAY 2024 · Today we play some music, we listen to an Australian fairy tale, and to a Jack story! The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children Ep. 74 There is nothing that we cannot do. We can do anything that we put our mind to. We can affect the growth of plants by transferring our intentions and energy onto them, like in The Grape Vine's Story. The lady, in a way, deceives the grapevine to please her. Jack in Jack The Giant Killer shows us that we can outsmart and outplay grownups as young children. We can defeat opponents much bigger than us. We need to trick our minds into believing it is all true. Young children are capable of this when they are affirmed and recognised as confident and capable. We need to let the young keep their magic and bring it into adulthood to create the kind of world we were meant to live in.
