The Olympic Games is once again bringing sport to global attention as the finest athletes from across the world come together to compete on behalf of their nations. A number of athletes, however, will again compete for the IOC Refugee Olympic Team, representing more than a 100 million displaced people worldwide. What are the personal stories of these athletes? The Olympic Refuge Foundation Think Tank launches this podcast series, hosted by the co-Chair of the ORF Think Tank Professor Alastair Ager, addressing questions about the role of sport in promoting peace, belonging, and well-being. Each episode features conversations with a guest refugee athlete and a member of the Think Tank, who share insights from humanitarian programmes, training activities, and research seeking to support displaced young people to find belonging, through sport.
