She graduated from high school and entered college in Nigeria. But, because of the poor electrical infrastructure, many nights she had to study her college work by candle light.Ten years ago, after her junior year of college, her whole family immigrated to the United States. The university she chose to attend in the US would not accept any of her Nigerian college credits. So, she had to start over.Listen as she describes this journey from Nigeria to the US and contrasts what it's like to get a college degree in Nigeria versus in the US.

Though he was not a legal immigrant, he distinguished himself in school, won a scholarship to Yale, and became a DACA recipient. Then, as the administration changed in 2016 and DACA were put at risk, he pivoted from his first love - teaching - to becoming an advocate for immigration reform. His is a compelling story.
