4 NOV 2026 · In our final episode of The Palestinian People vs. The Zionist Occupation, we sat down with Razan Zuayater, founder and General Coordinator of Arabs for the Protection of Nature (APN). APN is an organization rooted in liberating Palestine and the greater Arab region through what they call, green resistance. They help farmers in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan remain steadfast on their homelands by replanting what the occupation tries to destroy, teaching seed and food sovereignty, and passing on ancestral plant knowledge to generations of Palestinians and Arabs.
Razan and APN were the initial seed for putting on this tribunal. For Razan, this seed came from watching international institutions, like the International Court of Justice and the United Nations, debate a definition of genocide that was separating what was happening to the land and what was happening to Palestinians in Gaza.
In our conversation, we speak with Razan about local farming as resistance to genocide, the war on land as a war on memory, and how our souls are frontlines in this struggle.

28 OCT 2026 · In our fourth episode of The Palestinian People vs. The Zionist Occupation, we sit down with Dr. Omar Nashabe, a Lebanese professor, human rights scholar, and an internationally-renowned expert on criminal justice. He helped organize the Special Tribunal on Lebanon, served as advisor to the Prime Minister of the country, and has led in monitoring the rights and well-being of prisoners in Lebanese prisons.
Dr. Nashabe served as an expert witness at the tribunal, exhibiting thorough satellite evidence of the zionist occupation’s intentional ecological destruction as a criminal act. In our conversation, we speak with Dr. Nashabe about what it means when the legal structures intended to prevent genocide fail the global south over and over again.

21 OCT 2026 · In our third episode of The Palestinian People vs. The Zionist Occupation, we sit down with Raji Sourani, an expert witness and one of the most prominent Palestinian Human Rights lawyers. Raji has spent his livelihood defending the rights of Palestinians at the International Criminal Court of Justice, zionist military courts, and national jurisdictions across Europe. As founder of the Palestinian Center of Human Rights (PCHR) in Gaza, he and his team of lawyers have documented and archived the violations of Palestinian rights by military courts and the military courts for over 30 years. In 2024, Raji and PCHR joined South Africa’s legal team at the International Criminal Court of Justice to provide evidence for the case of genocide brought against the zionist occupation.
In our conversation, we talk about the state of taking the zionist occupation to court for violations of international law, his team’s archiving and preserving of evidence at a time of genocide, and what the tribunal means to him as a strategy for Palestinian liberation.
We want to note that this is one of our more sobering conversations from this series, and we encourage you to take care of yourself as you listen.

14 OCT 2026 · In our second episode of The Palestinian People vs. The Zionist Occupation, we sit down with Azra Syed, the Secretary General of the International League of People’s Struggle (ILPS), an anti-imperialist, democratic, & socialist organization. ILPS is one of the core organizers of this tribunal & has been an international force for Palestinian liberation.
As part of the international leadership of ILPS, Azra shares with us why the alliance took on organizing a tribunal on ecocide, what it means to build an international movement between the global north and south, & how naming ecocide in Palestine calls out ecocide everywhere.

Edre is a people’s lawyer serving the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, representing the national liberation movement in peace negotiations with the government of the Philippines.
With Edre, we focus on the legal tactic of people’s tribunals as a grassroots strategy for Palestinian liberation.
We sat down with Edre at the end of Day One of the Tribunal. In the near background, you’ll hear movement people with decades of struggle & camaraderie coming together after the Jurors adjourned the court.

11 AUG 2026 · We dive back in to our conversation with Tina Shauf-Bajar, organizer with GABRIELA Oakland, and Lubna Morrar, with the Palestinian Feminist Collective. After sharing our histories of migration and displacement in Part 1, we discuss how these legacies continue to shape our communities – our identities, relationships, and sense of belonging – in the diaspora today. If you haven't listened to Even in Our Dreams Part 1, Episode 6 of Rising For Our Motherlands, we encourage you to go back to listen now.
Lubna Morrar is poet, hairstylist and makeup artist. She is a Palestinian community organizer and activist from the Bay Area.
Tina Shauf-Bajar is a Filipino community organizing, singer and culture worker who has long been involved in migrant rights organizing, connecting struggles in her homeland to those faced by workers in the Bay Area.
Together we explore how re-membering our languages, food and cultural practices are antidotes to resist pressures like assimilation and generational separation from our lands. We reflect on how embodying dignity becomes a powerful act of resistance and resilience, on the importance of cultural production as a strategy, and make space to freedom dream.
Special thanks to Kendall of We Rise and KPFA for hosting us as we recorded our conversation.
This episode features poetry, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9ATE5wgHjk, an excerpt from Algerian revolutionary Frantz Fanon's 1961 book The Wretched of the Earth narrated in the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J6v-zzEZ9Y, and chants from a Bay Area protest.

15 MAY 2026 · Today, on Nakba Day, we’re honored to share a very special interview with you.
Nakba Day commemorates the mass displacement of Palestinians that began on May 15, 1948. “Nakba,” the Arabic word for “catastrophe,” refers to the forced expulsion of more than 750,000 Palestinians and the destruction and depopulation of over 500 Palestinian villages, towns, and cities by Zionist militias and, later, the Israeli army.
In this episode, Maisa co-hosts with We Rise apprentice Hannah in an interview with Saif Abu Keshek a member of the steering committee for the Global Sumud Flotilla. This interview was recorded at the International People's Tribunal on Palestine in Barcelona, where https://internationalsolidarity.org/international-peoples-tribunal-on-palestine-to-convene-in-barcelona-charging-genocide-and-ecocide/. Together, we discuss how people's tribunals can serve as both a tool and strategy in the Palestine Liberation movement.
We also speak about the central role of Palestinian political prisoners in the struggle for liberation. Political prisoners are not only symbols of resistance — they are our compass, grounding the movement in steadfastness, sacrifice, and collective responsibility.
Earlier this year, on April 30, Saif — a Spanish national of Palestinian origin — and Brazilian activist Thiago Ávila were abducted while sailing alongside dozens of activists as part of the latest humanitarian mission organized by the Global Sumud Flotilla. Saif and Thiago were imprisoned in Israel for 10 days under brutal conditions, where they endured torture and took part in a hunger strike.

1 MAY 2026 · In this episode, we dive into a powerful conversation about what it means to live in diaspora. As people whose homelands are shaped by ongoing struggle and displacement, we reflect on how living away from our ancestral lands informs our identities, relationships, and sense of belonging.
Lubna & Tina illuminate our histories of migration and displacement from Falasteen & the islands known as The Philippines. They share how these legacies of displacement continue to shape their communities in the diaspora today.
Lubna Morrar is poet, hairstylist and makeup artist. She is a Palestinian community organizer and activist from the Bay Area.
