  • Fans As Customers - Improving The Stadium Experience

27 FEB 2024 · This week – fans as customers, and what makes a great matchday experience? It's a timely question as Manchester United’s. new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been talking up the possibility of replacing Old Trafford with a new ground next door to the existing site – one that might become a national stadium comparable to Wembley. But why do the Reds need a new home? And is what owners want from a stadium the same as supporters need? This week our special guest Paul May, Paul is co-founder of Trivandi, a business that grew out the success of the London Olympics & Paralympics, which he worked on for 7 years as Head of Venue Development. Paul worked across all of the venues for London 2012 including the six football stadia, one of which was Old Trafford. Trivandi have since worked on Villa Park, Brentford, Twickenham Stadium, Peterborough United and QPR as well as international venues in Europe and the Middle East. • Is There Too Much Football?

24 JAN 2024 · Is there too much football? That might seem like a counter intuitive question on a podcast made by and for people who are in love with the beautiful game. It was prompted by the injury sustained by Mo Salah while playing for Egypt at the African Cup of Nations…as well as carrying the hopes of his nation, Salah plays for Liverpool in the Champions League, the Premier League and if they won that he’d be expected to turn out in the newly enlarged World Club Cup. Are we just being unfair in our demands on players? And what about us supporters? Football was a once a week treat live in the stadium, now its online and on telly all the time. So will familiarity breed contempt. With Charlie Methven and Adrian Goldberg. Made We Bring Audio, produced by Adrian Goldberg, edited by Jed Thomas, Socials by 11 29. Hosted on Acast.
