Lt: Saulė švelniai bučiavo Vilniaus senamiesčio plytas, o gatvės tylėjo, lyg paslaptis senų namų sienose.
En: The sun gently kissed the bricks of Vilnius Old Town, and the streets were silent, as if the secrets of the old houses were trapped within their walls.

Lt: Juratė, ilgaplaukė mergina su švelnia šypsena, tą popietę leido savo mažojoje buto terasoje, kartu su savo mielu katėliu.
En: Juratė, a long-haired girl with a gentle smile, spent that afternoon on her small apartment terrace with her beloved cat.

Lt: Šis katėlis buvo ne tik paprastas augintinis, bet ir šeimos narys, vardu Murkis.
En: This cat was not just an ordinary pet, but also a family member named Murkis.

Lt: Linas, jaunas vaikinas, mėgstantis gyvūnus ir nuotykius, skaistų dieną vaikščiojo po Vilniaus senamiestį.

Lt: Jis buvo entuziastas, kuris visada pasiryžęs padėti beglobiams gyvūnams.

Lt: Be didesnio mąstymo, Linas prieina prie katėlio ir sako jam draugiškai: "Ei, mažyle, kaip tu čia vienas?"

Lt: Jis apžiūri Murkio antkaklį, bet neranda jokių žymių.

En: Linas decided that he needed to rescue this cute creature from the dangers of the street.

Lt: Tačiau tuo tarpu, priešingame šaligatvyje, Giedrė, Linui gerai pažįstama draugė, turinti aštrią išdaigą, stebėjo šią sceną.
En: Meanwhile, on the opposite sidewalk, Giedrė, a friend well known to Linas, with a sharp wit, was observing this scene.

Lt: Ji laikė rankose ledų vaflį ir negalėjo susilaikyti nuo juoko, matydama, kaip jos vaikinas Linas elgiasi su Murkiu.
En: She held an ice cream cone in her hands and couldn't help laughing at how her friend Linas was behaving with Murkis.

Lt: Netrukus Giedrė negalėjo atsilaikyti ir sureagavo: "Linas, bet gi tu gelbėji Juratės katėlį!"
